Support Your Biggest Lifts
The RDX 4-inch leather weightlifting belt is built for the moments when the weight gets serious. Its firm leather construction gives you something solid to brace against, helping you create more tension through your core during squats, deadlifts and overhead presses.
When you take a breath and push your midsection into the belt, it can help you create more tension through your core. This can make you feel more stable and controlled during demanding lifts such as squats, deadlifts and overhead presses.
The belt is made using genuine cowhide and suede leather, with a 7mm thick construction, padded back section and moisture-managing inner lining. A steel roller buckle with twin prongs keeps the belt securely fastened during your working sets.
What Does a Weightlifting Belt Actually Do?
A lifting belt does not hold your back in place or replace good technique. Its main job is to give your abdomen something firm to push against while you brace. This can help you create more tension through your torso and feel more stable under load.
Think of the belt as a tool that supports a good brace, rather than something that creates the brace for you.
Why Choose a 4 inch leather weightlifting belt?
Four inches is the standard width chosen by many lifters because it offers a good balance between support and freedom of movement. It provides consistent coverage around the midsection without taking up as much space between the ribs and hips as a wider belt. That makes a 4-inch Weightlifting Belt design a sensible starting point for most body shapes, particularly for people with a shorter or average-length torso.
A wider 6-inch Weightlifting Belt can provide more surface area across the back, but that does not automatically make it better. For some lifters, especially those with less space between their ribs and hips, a wider belt may dig in or feel restrictive.
Coach Liam’s Honest Take
A 4 inch Leather Weightlifting Belt can be a really useful tool, but it should not become a substitute for learning how to brace properly. I would first practise taking a full breath into your stomach and sides, then tightening your core as though you are preparing to be pushed. Once you can do that without a belt, this leather belt gives you a firm surface to brace into when the weight gets heavier.
The 4-inch width is the option I would recommend to most lifters because it gives a good level of coverage without feeling unnecessarily bulky. The leather may feel stiff when it is brand new, which is normal. It should become more comfortable as it breaks in over time.
