A huge thank you to everyone involved in bringing this event back for a second year, continuing to raise awareness and support for mental health within the strength community.

Together We Lift is more than a training day. It is a chance to bring people from all backgrounds into one space and show that Together We Are Stronger.

Event Stations

You will get 40 minutes per event station within your equal ability groups, where coaches will support you through every lift.

  • Deadlift
  • Overhead Press
  • Sled pull
  • Sandbags

We always finish with something special.

Our events conclude with the Tandem Deadlift using the ALFitness Team Deadlift Bar.

This purpose-built 47kg stiff axle bar embodies our message around mental health, in that Together We Are Stronger. The Barbell has already proven itself under extreme loads, holding firm at over 565kg during our current record lift at Nova Performance in St Ives, Cambridgeshire.

This is where the full community comes together. One bar. Two lifters. One shared effort.

About Together We Lift Events

Together We Lift is a coach-led mental health initiative designed to bring people together through strength.

Athletes are placed into equal ability groups to help protect mental health and reduce comparison, creating a more supportive and inclusive environment for everyone involved.

Our events are adaptive friendly, meaning they are suitable for any level of ability or disability. Adaptive coaches are available on the day to support and guide you through each movement.

To ensure the best possible experience, this event is limited to 32 athletes, allowing for a focused, supportive atmosphere for both athletes and coaches.

The Coaches

Together We Lift brings together some of the strongest men and women from UK strength sports to coach on the day.

From elite athletes to complete beginners, every participant will be be able to learn something from our coaches on the day, with coaches sharing their knowledge and experience throughout each station.
